I have seen many students that do the “Ya Ya” thing when their teacher is correcting someone else’s mistake and when it’s their turn to do the same, they make the same mistakes and what’s the worst part about it? They don’t improve it because they think that they know it. So, the #1 Mindset to make before enrolling in MMA is not being “I know that!” type of student.

Most of the techniques in MMA are the mixture of many other techniques and most probably you might have learned some other kind of martial arts (if you have combat sports background) and it might also be used in MMA. So make sure that you don’t make things difficult for your teacher because if you do so, he/she will easily lose interest in teaching you and might give less attention to you. Continue reading

The History of Mixed Martial Arts and Why they are Better than Boxers

Today I was doing some research about Mixed Martial Arts and what are the hurdles that come in the way to become the most successful Mixed Martial Arts fighter and to name a few, Anderson Silva, Georges St. Pierre and famous ANDERSON_SILVA_ 044Professional Wrestling arrogant Phillip Jack Brooks aka CM Punk.  What I found was it requires real dedication and motivation to get to the top of it. The biggest challenge is to stay motivated and taking the challenges or opportunities you get.
